Description

Teso La Monja comes from a tiny, ancient vineyard with ungrafted vines—a pre-phylloxera treasure of just 1.8 hectares. Each grape is individually hand-selected and fermented in open-bottomed wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the unique "ovum" tank, before the wine ages for 24 months in the finest French oak. With its silky texture, tremendous depth, and unparalleled elegance, it is considered one of Spain's great wines. And it's a true collector's item: extremely limited to fewer than 940 bottles per vintage.
